Makeup Application day 2 - Natural to Beauty Makeup

Today we did pretty much all the same things that we did yesterday but, we added nose shading and now were allowed to use more than just neutral colors on the lids and lips. For my model Veronica today, I used a plum color on her eyelids and a berry color on her lips...ooo I loved it :).
Not so "before" pic, I forgot to take a before picture after I already had her base color on and eyebrows started.

Makeup Application day 1 - Natural Makeup

The title says it all....After much anticipation, I, and the rest of my classmates at Cinema Makeup School, were able to dig into our makeup kits and do our first official makeup application! We did "natural" makeup which included base matches, highlighting, shading/contouring, and finding natural lip, cheek, and eyelid shades.
Here is my first model, Grace.

Hollywood

No, I'm not there yet, but, I WILL be there tomorrow.....TOMORROW!!!
Ahhhhh. I'm so nervous...excited...but nervous...
I've heard a lot of weird things about Hollywood, and even though it'll be fun to be living amongst the stars for a month, it sounds like it's filled with a bunch of loonies as well lol. Thankfully I have some pepper spray to take with me, and my friends and family are just a phone call, email, text message, or skype conversation away in case I get lonely or scared lol...I know Heavenly Father will be looking out for me as well, and I am very grateful for that. Just gotta keep my nerves down!!
For those of you who may be reading this right now and have no idea what I'm talking about, here's the scoop:
I'm moving to Hollywood for a month to attend Cinema Makeup School and participate in their beauty makeup course. Hopefully I'll do well. This has been a big dream of mine practically my whole life. I've always wanted to be able to one day do special effects makeup for movies, and I'm pretty sure this is going to give me the head start that I need!!...Wish me luck!

What a Wonderful Day

Today was a really great day to be had. Despite waking up slightly sick and getting random dizzy spells throughout the day, I'm glad I was able to get up and do the things that I had today. My friend Andrea came over to my sisters around 10am and we headed over to the temple and did baptisms. It was great. I must say that I ALWAYS come out of the temple feeling clean and pure every single time, and, being inside always makes me feel so amazing as well. I wouldn't trade the feelings I've had in the temple for anything else. They're priceless....After that we went to her house and did our hair and makeup and just got ready for the day. We headed over to Cracker and co. Cafe for lunch (which was AMAZING, 5 stars to them for sure)then headed over to Deseret Book to look around...After that we headed back over to the temple and took a bunch of pictures together, which again, was a lot of fun. I went back to my sisters around 5:30 and watched Cinderella with my 3 year old niece Shea, we had spaghetti for dinner and watched Wall-E, and now here I am writing about it on my blog...Even though there was nothing crazy exciting about my day, I'm glad I had it. It was extremely enjoyable and it was nice to just relax and not have to worry about work or anything. I'm enjoying my stay down here in Arizona and am sad to have to go back to the cold and snow on Saturday. Hopefully spring will come FAST! lol. I'd like to get started on my resolution of running every day (once it gets warm enough outside...until then I'll just have to settle for running on the treadmill)...Anywho...I'm gonna go now. Just thought I'd share!

2010 Already?!

So I'm sitting on my sisters couch in Mesa arizona playing around with her iPod touch. So if I forget any capital letters punctuations or spell things wrong I'll apologize now because I've never used one of these things before and I'm not going go try to go back and correct my mistakes...I've been down here in good ol arizona since December 31st...after a six hour drive from Newcastle Wyoming to Denver Colorado I then had a two hour flight from Denver to Phoenix. Needless to say that that probably wasn't the best idea considering it was new years eve and I'd had plans to stay up all night into the new year with my old college friends...but somehow I managed and stayed up almost a full 24 hours before I finally gave up and went home. Once everything starts getting funny to you and you start laughing so hard you cry I think it's time to call it a night don't you? Lol. Anyway...I seriously CANNOT believe that it's already the year 2010!!! There are just so many major events that are going to happen in my life this year and I hope i'm totally prepared for them! I've got two callings in the church. Relief society teacher and gospel doctrine teacher. Heavenly Father must be trying to TEACH me some kind of lesson eh? Lol. We shall see! Not only that but I'm going to start taking piano lessons cooking a lot more working out like a mad woman learning how to sew making more things for people in need starting up Spanish again and so much more! I'm grateful because I got my temple recommend renewed a few days ago so this whole year I'm going to try to take as many trips to the temple that I possibly can :). It's just a spectacular place to be and I totally love it I love feeling the love of my heavenly father...crazy pants...I just realized that in just 4 short weeks I will no longer have the word "teen" behind the number of my age. I'll be a woman of 20. Dang that makes me feel old when I know very well that I'm totally not haha. I'm just completely excited for his new year. I'm going to try to make myself the best possible person that I can be!....well it's getting late. I would post more but I need some freaking sleep!!!

Merry Christmas?...Yes, Yes It Was... :)

So, as you all know, yesterday was Christmas, oh glorious Christmas. The time we celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. What a wonderful time of year. I wish every day was Christmas, and no, not for the presents, but for the FEELING. Everyone just seems to be extra nice and totally generous, truly bringing the spirit of Christ. So much love and brotherly kindness is displayed at this time of year, I just wish it was ALWAYS like that :).

Yesterday was a good day although I was EXTREMEMLY tired from a major lack of sleep the night before. But, nevertheless, it was good. The misionaries came over for Christmas breakfast along with my friend Wade (who is currently investigating the Church). They stayed for several hours and we all had a really good time. I made them cute missionary stockings (if I remember, I'll post pics in a little bit). Around 1:30 my Grandma Sackett (my dad's mom) came over as well as my sister Lyndsy, bro-in-law Elijah, my niece Emerie, and my nephew Ammon. We opened presents and then my relatives from Gillette, WY came over for a little bit. We all ate dinner and then everything died down so I went to my room and watched Marley & Me so that I could just lay in my bed and relax. A few hours later I went and visited one of my best friend's Devon and got to visit with her, her husband Aj, her 15 month old son Adley, and her 2 month old daughter Jaydyn. (Including her other family members). It was alot of fun and so so great to see all of them since I haven't in AGES!

I Miss...

Living in Arizona...and all the fun I had with the friends I made down there (not to mention the LOADS of fun I had down there wih my best friend Jessica whom I've known since we were 10!!)...I just miss the fun times...I feel like we're getting old even though we're not!!! Lol....A lot of my friends are getting married..and it's just WEIRD!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!.....Anyway, the reason I'm saying this is because I was going through my pics on my laptop looking for a particular one and then all of a sudden I get brought to all the pics and videos I ever took when I was living in Mesa last year and they just brought back SO many memories!!!!...It's totally true when they say a picture is worth a thousand words! Haha....Well old Mesa friends, I miss you all and hope that your lives are going wonderfully these days!!! :)
